BIOGRAPHY

In order of publication, Anthony's novels are Catching Baby Moses, The First Rains of October, Jonah in the Time of the Kings, Assurity: A Space Thriller, and Izzy the Bernese Mountain Dog. His screenplays include An American Psalm, Catching Baby Moses, Assurity: A Space Thriller, and Izzy the Bernese Mountain Dog.
An Amazon Best-Selling Top 100 author, Anthony Barbera, began his career as a music composer for films and commercials. After earning his B.M. in music composition from the North Carolina School of the Arts University, he worked for his master's degree at the University of Massachusetts. He won numerous awards and placed first at the BMI National Music Awards, where the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra performed his "Two Songs for Soprano and Orchestra on Poems by Rilke." And yet, Anthony's passion for literature and writing was just beginning at that time. After being asked to direct a collection of ambitious teenagers in writing and acting in their first film for the Sonoma Film Festival, that was it; he was hooked.

      • That it is very difficult to stay locked into a genre. Part of the uniqueness of writing is probing and understanding things about life that you don't know a great deal about but are excited to learn. Having said that, my next two books will be a continuation of a series I began: Elijah: The Man Who Stopped the Rain & Assurity: Return of the Nephilim. So there you have it. Why? Because I love the characters.
